MYLANDS’ AUTUMN/WINTER 2020 COLOUR EDIT

Mylands has selected a mood-enhancing palette for its Autumn/Winter 2020 edit, with a selection of deep, rich tones which create an instant sense of grandeur, alongside chalky, natural hues. Dramatic blues, calming earthy pinks and verdant shades of green are designed to soothe the soul and give a fresh balance to the home.

Mylands has seen blue and green tones rise in popularity, and it is widely known that colours which connect us to nature can help foster a calm and comforting environment within the home. Mayfair Dark is a rich indigo blue that is a bold choice for both contemporary and more traditional interiors. Reminding us of the sea and inky skies, it instantly brings tranquillity to a room.

Softer in tone, Bloomsbury is an earthy pink reminiscent of warm landscapes, evoking restfulness in the home. This is a versatile colour that creates an effortless interior and coordinates with a wide spectrum of colours – from greys and neutrals through to greens and shades of blue.

Pale Lilac – a white with soft tones of lilac – is so soft it can be used as a neutral and will bring a sense of quiet luxury and relaxation. It also works well as a complementary colour for stronger shades such as Theatre Land, bringing an enveloping shot of richness.

Mylands has selected three green shades – ranging from deep, classic Brompton Road, which is a great choice for kitchen cabinetry or for panelling in a living room - through to Myrtle Green and Beauvais, which are softer, mint green shades. Bringing these nature-inspired tones into the home brings a sense of comforting tranquillity and a restorative energy. They are wonderfully versatile and will work well in any room.

Our homes are more important to us than ever before. Subtle changes in our environment have a significant effect on our mood and these colours have been selected to improve our sense of wellbeing. Colour is very powerful and choosing the right tone for any room in the house can have a transformative influence on how we feel and interact with each other.
