Mylands introduces its 2025 colour palette in collaboration with colour creative agency Etté, founded by Despina Curtis and Natalie Jones. Titled An Artist’s Palette, the curation represents a quiet revolution in colour within the home, taking inspiration from the earthy and honest tones championed by the Bloomsbury Group as well as contemporary hues found in the worlds of art, fashion, and design.
The palette is a harmonious blend of colours that evoke the spirit of bold experimentation and timeless style. Optimism is key to the palette, which carefully balances vibrant hues with more hushed tones and deeper colours for contrast. Light meets dark and colours sometimes clash, bringing about an exciting energy.
The palette anchors on the following shades: Messel™ No.39, an earthy and natural olive tone with a commanding presence, and Huguenot™ No. 49, a traditional and elegant red with intriguing depth. These are countered by the soft and muted tones of Soho Pink™ No. 266, and the warm grey-blue mid tone Long Acre™ No. 102. The vibrancy of Sorrel Green™ No. 207 adds energy, and Indian Lake™ No. 288 brings a relaxed, muted shot of warm colour.
“This palette is a balance of bolder hues paired with quieter tones,” says Despina Curtis, co-founder of Etté. “And each of these colours could be used to great effect on their own or as accents or combined for a dynamic scheme. Some of these colours are very familiar to us – such as the organic, olive tones of Messel™ No. 39 which is inspired by nature – yet when they are combined with the other tones within the palette, they can create an entirely different atmosphere.”
"The 2025 colour palette is a testament to the vibrancy, history, and innovation of Mylands and our timeless colours. In collaboration with Etté, we've curated a palette that invites you to infuse your living spaces with the spirit creative visionaries. The palette can be tailored to suit personal tastes and spaces, and we look forward to seeing how these shades are used.” Dominic Myland, CEO.
